| Just relaxing |
| As so often happens, occasionally we find ourselves with more dogs than we can care for the way we'd like to. As a result Painter was placed in a pet home in March of 2007 to replace a litter mate that had died of Lymphoma. By October 2008 his new owners reached a point where two dogs and two small preschool aged children was just too much to cope with and Painter came back to live at Chesara. I am looking forward to getting Painter out on the lure coursing field and maybe in the spring we'll see if he'd like to participate in some Dock Dogs events, since he just LOVES to swim! DOCK DOG UPDATE I took Painter to a dock dog practice and he was very distracted by all the other dogs in attendance, but I took him to a near by boat ramp on Saturday November 15, 2008 & in short order had him jumping off the side of the ramp and swimming across to grab his toy! If weather permits I'll take him to another formal practice session on November 22nd and we can look to actually compete as soon as the weather warms up in the spring! |
